In the U.S., Aker Solutions has offices in Houston and Mobile, Alabama. Located on the quayside of the Gulf of Mexico, the facility in Alabama is home to a service and subsea equipment manufacturing base, and the world’s largest umbilicals facility. Since opening in 2003, the facility has produced over 1,500 miles of umbilicals for use in projects around the world. The Houston office, with Front End engineering and business development teams, serves as the U.S. headquarters for Aker Solutions.
Aker Solutions’ recent track record speaks for itself. In the Johan Sverdrup field offshore Norway, Aker Solutions is helping to bring online Norway’s largest industrial project in three decades – a project that will, at its peak, produce 25% of all Norwegian oil. At the Equinor-operated Åsgard field, also offshore Norway, Aker Solutions delivered the world’s first subsea compression system. In the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, Aker Solutions is providing subsea equipment including dynamic and static umbilicals to LLOG’s Buckskin project.
